Light Point is currently the only language school in the Czech Republic offering bilingual post-maturita language courses with State accreditation with choice of size of study group (max. 10 students). Within the Post-pomaturita courses you get FREE 38 consultation lessons above the standard 780 lessons, soft drinks, wifi and access to our school library! Preparation for KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CITY & GUILDS.

Post-maturita 2011/2012 – English, Russian and Japanese classes.

University entrance exams have always been a bit of a lottery. One cannot always succeed on the first attempt. We offer you the opportunity to bridge over the next entrance exam by daily post-secondary studies based on the decree of the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic. We have prepared language courses which will enable you to retain the status of student. We believe that by their content and variability these courses must captivate even the most demanding students.

We offer the following Post-pomaturita langauge courses – bilingual

• Post- pomaturita – English + Japenese
• Post- pomaturita – English + Russian
• Post- pomaturita – Japanese + Russian

We will create optimal conditions throughout the whole year for you to improve in the chosen language so that by the end of the course you will be ready to pass internationally recognized language tests and university entrance examination.

We are the ONLY language school to run State accredited BiLingual Pomaturita courses in The Czech Republic !!!

We prepare our students for an Exam in Each Language studied during their course, the exams are identical to those studied by our MonoLingual Students.

What do we offer?

The status of student
The status of student has the same extent as that at a secondary school (social and health insurance paid by the state, tax credits, family allowances, discounts on transportation, etc.). A prerequisite is to pass the school-leaving examination in 2011. In addition, it must be the first high school examination. The student demonstrates this fact by handing in a graduation certificate (or its notarized copies). We issue a certificate of study after the onset of the study. The certificate will be valid from September 1st 2011 to August 31st 2012. A key condition to maintain student status is to have at least a 70% attendance at school.

Preparation for the state exams

All our courses are taught by a combination of both Czech and Native Teachers (please note we dont hire any native speaker, but choose only the best and most experienced teachers whose native language is that of your chosen course) and tutors you will learn not only the technical skills such as grammar, reading and writing etc. But just as importantly we will give you the skills to apply what you have learned to real life scenarios. Our aim is that any student passing through our school can be assured that when leaving, He or She will have had the best possible chance to further their education and have the skills to apply their knoweledge in the future.

Choice of size of your study group

This is one of the key features that separates Light Point from other Language schools offering Pomaturita Study (Post Secondary) Courses. Whilst there are school’s cheaper than us, what they don’t offer is a small class size, average classes in other schools often tend to be 18 students, for example at Light Point our Post secondary English courses have a maximum of 10 students per group, our Japanese and Russian have a maximum of 8 students.

We offer our students THREE group sizes: 5 students, 8 students, 10 students

This guarantees that each one of our students has the maximum time spent on them by teachers and ensures that our teaching staff can make time for any individual needs that our students may have, it’s a simple fact that the lower the pupil teacher ratio is the higher the standard of results are.

Choice of tuition times

Have you ever thought about doing Pomaturita studies and found existing courses etc not to be flexible enough time wise? We understand that students may need to work to support their studies so we offer 3 time bands to our students, which ensures that no matter how busy a student may be they will be able to keep the required 20 hours per week needed to maintain student status.

Morning: 0830 – 1145
Afternoon: 1400 – 1630
Evening: 1730 – 2045

Number of weekly hours

20 x 45 lessons + 1 extra consultation lesson per week FREE!!!!! This extra hour allows you to meet with one of our senior teaching staff and go through any problems that you may have with specific topics, grammar etc.

Choice of payment times

We understand that courses are a big financial investment so we offer the following options to help spread the financial burden over the school year.

Monthly payments (monthly payments = Course Price/10 + 15%)
Half yearly payments (Bi annual payments = Course Price/2 + 10%)

State exams

Two state examinations in the case of bilingual studies (cost of the exam is not included in the course fee!)
One state examination in the case of monolingual studies (cost of the exam is not included in the course fee!)
